Want to save money on diapers? Cloth diapers are great for baby, great for the environment, and super easy on the wallet. I think baby center is making cloth diapering seem WAY more complicated and expensive than it is. Most people will use 2 doz diapers and 4 covers during the newborn stage about half of what is listed. OR they will use pockets or AIOs (that go on and off JUST like disposables many people are used to)only 2 dozen total for baby lifetime in diapers (plus siblings will use the same ones). Total cost under $500about as much as you spend in 6 months with disposables. Research, research, research. There are tons of cloth diapering moms out there willing to help if you ask. If you newly pregnant, buy 2 diapers a month and then enter to win contests and register for cloth diapers, too. Yes, you can get free diapers that will last 100 of changes, not just once like disposables.
