Best diaper bags for dads

Forget the flowery overtheshoulder diaper bags! I had one of those too, while I was pregnant. But then my wise friend bought a "Man Bag" backpack for my husband to use as his diaper bag, and it was PERFECT! It all I ever use  I permanently ditched my flowery one!

Here is what I have, a Combi backpack:

1. GET A BACKPACK!  The backpack design is perfect for easy movement while handling the squirming baby/toddler  it won slip off the shoulder, and distributes the weight evenly across your back. Plus backpacks can often hold a whole lot more without being unwieldy.

2. NEUTRAL COLOR  For your husband, get a bag that black/dark gray like this. After he attached the jingle horse and the purple lion to the side of the bag, it have plenty of color anyway!

3. POCKETS, POCKETS, POCKETS  Trust me, find a backpack that has lots of compartments to divide up your items (keeping bottles separate from diapers  and your bottle of Purell separate from your cell phone and wallet).

So forget that girly diaper bag. Once you try a backpack like the one I have above, you will never go back to those oldfashioned things with 2 measley pockets and a slippery strap!

My husband always hated to carry a diaper bag. He went out and bought himself a backpack, and now it's all we use. We're down to one kid in diapers, don't need bottles anymore, so it works well. I'd think a backpack would be fine even if you still need to tote bottles or nursing supplies around as well, especially if you choose one that has two or three pockets in addtion to the main compartment.

I put the diapers and travel wipes in the smaller front pocket, clothes in the main compartment, and snacks in the smallest pocket. There are also two side pockets that are just right for sippy cups. My husband just wears the backpack so his hands are free and he gets to feel manly.
